James' Figs is a personal Australian fig hobby collection run by James Barsha. This website is used to share variety information, publish journal articles, and take orders for fig cuttings during the annual presale.

You can contact me any time at jamesfigs@hotmail.com or via the James' Figs Facebook page.

Presale notification list. If you join the notification list, I collect your name and email address so I can email you when the annual presale opens.

Orders. If you place an order, I collect your name, email address, postal address and the details of your order so I can confirm pricing, take payment by bank transfer, and post your cuttings to you.

Wishlist. The wishlist feature stores your saved varieties on your own device only (in your browser's local storage). It is never sent to me or stored on my server.

Messages. If you contact me by email or Facebook, I receive whatever you choose to send.

I use your information only to: send the presale notification you asked for; respond to your questions; prepare, confirm and post your order; and meet my legal and tax record-keeping obligations.

I do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. I do not send marketing emails beyond the notifications you signed up for.

This website and its database are hosted on secure cloud servers. Payment is made by direct bank transfer — this website never collects or stores your card or bank account details.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Basic, privacy-respecting site statistics (such as page views) may be collected by the hosting platform to help me understand how the site is used.

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the unsubscribe link on this site or in any email I send. You can also ask me to correct or delete your personal information by emailing jamesfigs@hotmail.com. If you withdraw an order enquiry before confirming it, your enquiry is deleted.

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you may request access to the personal information I hold about you.

If I change this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
